The Swire Group’s archives, maintained in Hong Kong, are the repository ofour collective corporate memories. They record more than 150 years of development in Hong Kong and are valuable resources of knowledge for our staff and the wider community. The records cover major Swire companies, including John Swire & Sons (HK) and Swire Pacific Limited, Swire Properties, Cathay Pacific Airways, HAECO, Swire Coca-Cola, The China Navigation Company and Taikoo Sugar, charting our rich heritage in various sectors including shipping, aviation, beverages, properties, as well as trading and industrial and insurance activities.
Managed by a team of professionally trained in-house archivists, the Group’s archives comprise a diverse collection of historical records and artefacts from our operating companies. Together they tell the Swire story, all the way from the mid-19th Century to the present day, through a wide range of media including paper, photographic prints, films, audio tapes, microfilms, and a range of digital formats.
